Terms and conditions

Your first month starts from the day you purchase your $135 skin membership and is re-charged on the first of every calendar month thereafter.
Your monthly membership fee of $135 is redeemable off your first tailored membership facial every month. It is not redeemable on products.
No contracts; you may cancel any time. We require that you provide a minimum of 2 business days notice..
You are able to freeze your membership for up to 2 consecutive months at a time and up to 6 months in any 12 month period. We require that you provide a minimum of 2 business days notice.
Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Discounts are only available on full priced treatments and products. If already discounted, the lesser of the two prices will apply.

What is LED?

LED (light emitting diode) therapy was originally developed by NASA to fast track healing in the skin and body for astronauts, and has since trickled down into a high-tech solution for skin improvement. How does LED work?

So, why is Winter perfect for your IPL treatments?

It’s important to avoid as much sun exposure as possible, so Winter is the best time to get your IPL sessions started as ideally your skin needs to be free of any tan. Our Anthelia IPL machine is able to work on darker skin tones and lighter hair colours, but the treatment is most effective when the skin is at its fairest - in Winter! It’s strongly suggested that the treatment area stay out of the sun afterwards as well, so the perk of winter is that we have none!

IPL works by using high-intensity pulses of visible light to improve the appearance of the skin, treat specific skin concerns and remove hair. It targets the lower layers of skin (dermis) without affecting the top layers of skin (epidermis). This provides a non-invasive treatment that is the perfect choice for treating all forms of sun damage, pigmentation, broken capillaries, ageing skin concerns and, of course, for your hair removal needs.

IPL targets the colour/melanin in the skin, so it just makes it easier for the light to target the hair follicles if the surrounding skin colour is easily distinguishable from the hair. No tan = better results.

For the average client, we expect to see results between 6-8 sessions on IPL which is followed by maintenance sessions every 6 - 12 months or so.

What is Microneedling?

Very simply put, microneedling triggers your body’s own natural healing response to create more collagen... and we all want more collagen in our skin!

Microneedling, also known as skin needling and Collagen Induction Therapy, can vastly improve a number of skin concerns ranging from fine lines and wrinkles to dramatic reduction of scarring, burns, pigmentation and more.

How does Microneedling work?

The Dermapen microneedling process uses tiny and very fine medical grade needles to gently puncture the skin’s surface layer creating microscopic punctures. What skin concerns does Microneedling treat?

Is Microneedling painful?

It may sound a wee bit painful, but it’s relatively painless and we can apply a numbing cream on request. The treatment may leave you with a small amount of bleeding and redness on the skin, but this will subside within 24hours and you can definitely head back to work after your treatment with a little bit of coverup to conceal any flush.

How many treatments will you need and how often will you need them?

A course of three to six treatments is recommended to achieve the greatest results for a majority of skin concerns (depending on what you’re treating and results of course). Ideally once every month or so, for the ultimate skin rejuvenation.

How quickly will you see results from Microneedling?

All good things take time. Your body needs to create fresh new collagen and healing agents, so over the course of a few months and a few treatments, you’ll start to see some very real improvements, some even see great results after just one treatment.

Q: What appealed to you about working in the skin industry, and how long have you been a skin and beauty professional?

A: I’ve been in the industry for almost 9 years, and I love to help people feel confident in their own skin and to educate my clients about effective skincare. The biggest reward I can get is helping a client achieve their ultimate skin goals.

Q: What is the most popular skincare treatment in your clinic at the moment?

A: That’s definitely a tie between Dermapen4 and O Cosmedics Dermal Planning Peels . The results from both treatments are impressive and both are very popular. The treatment we choose will depend on the skin health and goals of the client and what stage of the treatment programme we are at. I like to use both treatments to maximise the results we can achieve.

Q: What’s your favourite professional skin treatment to get yourself, and why?

A: Definitely Dermapen 4 Microneedling ! When it comes to ageing, prevention is better than cure. Having Dermapen 4 treatments aimed at collagen production means I am constantly building up healthy collagen to prevent the signs of ageing. Having done the O Cosmedics Skin DNA Test , I know genetically I am predisposed to glycation, a form of collagen damage, so I do everything I can to boost my own natural collagen production.

Q: What is your absolute favourite at-home skincare product and why?

A: That’s a difficult choice between O Cosmedics B3 Plus and the O Cosmedics Mineral Pro . I love the B3 as it is a great all-rounder and has helped strengthen my skin and treat my pigmentation issues. It also helps protect collagen so it a definite favourite. However, no skincare routine is complete without a great SPF, and being zinc-based the Mineral Pro offers the best protection and doesn’t leave the white look of zinc on the skin.

Q: Do you use any supplements to help with your skin, and if so which ones?

A: I use quite a few supplements since healthy skin is not just about external products. Since starting to take these supplements in particular, my skin always feels hydrated, my hair and nails are so strong and my whole body feels healthy.

Q: What’s one thing your clients are always surprised to find out about skin?

A: Skincare routines do not have to be complicated. It’s all about getting the right ingredients for your skin and your skin concerns. An effective home-care routine doesn’t need to be a 15-step programme!

Q: Which skin treatment would you recommend for a Christmas gift for a mum, sister or friend?

A: The Ginger&Me Mindfulness facial is pure relaxation. After the year we’ve have had, I think everyone needs some mindfulness in their life! WHAT IS LVL?

The LVL Lash Lift is a revolutionary eyelash treatment which is designed to lift your natural lash at the root, creating the effect of longer, lifted lashes. With immediate results lasting between 6 and 8 weeks, it is the perfect treatment for people with a low maintenance beauty regimen, busy lifestyle, allergies and hay fever, or just those who want to make the most of their natural eyelashes!

HOW DOES THE LVL LASH LIFT WORK?

The structure of a single hair is made up of three parts: the hair cuticle, the cortex and the medulla. When the lifting balm is applied during the LVL treatment, the hydrogen comes into contact with the air and oxidises. This creates a chemical process which breaks down the disulphate bonds in each hair, allowing them to move into a new shape. The next step is applying the volumizing fix, which reforms the disulphate bonds into their new shape, which is long and lifted with maximum volume!

This new shape of the eyelashes takes up to 48 hours for the disulphate bonds to lock into place and cure, which is why it is important to emphasise to follow the correct aftercare for 48 hours post-treatment. Pure Fiji Conference 2016

New Rituals, Factory Tour and Natovi Village

When we heard that there was a Pure Fiji Conference being held in 2016 we jumped at the chance to attend. We got to learn from the best, the amazing trainer's from About Face Nz and of course ACTUAL Fijian ladies who have been trained for years in the most relaxing, therapeutic rituals. We got to experience the beautiful Denarau Spa where we had a Noni back ritual demonstrated for us and then luckily had the run of the Spa and got to try this phenomenal ritual on each other.
On day two we had an early start, meeting at 4.45am to catch a flight to the Fijian capital Suva. Here we were greeted by bus and treated to breakfast at the gorgeous Grand Pacific Hotel. Afterwards we continued on our way to the Pure Fiji factory for our factory tour. It was amazing to be so welcomed by the whole "packing" room team and serenaded with a traditional welcoming song and beautiful native flora garlands. We travelled about 1.5 hrs away from Suva to visit the catholic convent boarding school in Natovi where we met the kids and teachers from the village. It was such a moving, humbling experience to have a little insight into village life. It really made me proud to support Pure Fiji learning that the company donates a percentage of annual profits to struggling communities affected by natural or economical disasters.

Spa Denarau: This is a photo from one of the treatment rooms in the Pure Fiji Spa in Denarau. You can see some of the NZ ladies concentrating hard here as we learn the new techniques for the Noni Back Ritual. ( I was so jealous not to be on the bed at that point). This Ritual will definitely be making an appearance as a Christmas special this Summer.
